Stainless-Steel Gate Handle with Spring – For Electric Fence Tape

Create a safe and reliable gate for your electric fence with this high-quality stainless-steel handle.

Key Features:

  • Durable Build: Stainless-steel spring handle, fully insulated for safe use.

  • Tape Compatibility: Suitable for 2 cm and 1.3 cm electric fence tape.

  • Easy Installation: Hooks directly onto 35V tensioners for a secure connection.

Installation Tips:

  • For a gate with two tape heights, install two tensioners on each side of the gate. This ensures the fence stays tight when the gate is opened and prevents premature wear.

  • If desired, you can remove the pin from the 35V tensioner loop on the side where the handle attaches — this keeps it from dangling loosely.

Perfect for building practical, long-lasting gates that maintain proper tension and extend the life of your electric fence.

Img2010 2806The gate handle #11 has a spring load on one end that connects to the tape, and a hook that is used to attach the #36W tensioner on your gate post. The insulated Gate Handle #11 allows you to have access into your pasture without turning your fence off. However, when your gate handle is unhooked, parts of your fence will be temporarily disabled until you reattach it.

UNDERGROUND WIRING UNDER A GATE

Us3901

To trench under a gate to ensure the continuity of the electric charge on the other side, put the high tension cable through a burried metal pipe or a flexible conduit to protect them from traffic. This will also protect the wire from tunneling rodents who might chew on unprotected wires and later cause a short in the fence.

TO CROSS UNDER AN OPEN GATE TO ELECTRIFY THE NEXT PASTURE

Wiring a gateIf you want to leave a certain fence sections opened but ensure the zapping continuity on the other side: it may be a gate, a passage you want to leave opened due to frequent traffic, or just a section of fencing that does not need to be connected to the electrified fence tape. To carry the current to the next fence section we recommend using the appropriate size high tension cable (#28M) attached to a tensioner (#36W) at each ends, thanks to connector #59GM that we will crimp on request and here also put the high tension cable through a burried metal pipe or a flexible conduit to protect them from traffic.
