#36V Tensioner (by tens)

Tensioner for 4 cm and 2 cm electric fencing tape, designed for tape ends, gates, and corners.

Includes:

• Brown plastic base and cover

• 2 stainless steel screws

• 1 stainless steel loop

• 2 plastic clips

Should be installed on posts at least 7 cm in diameter, strong enough to withstand the tape’s tension.

Essential for Fence Longevity

As its name suggests, the 36V Tensioner is used to secure and tighten the tape, which is essential for the durability and efficiency of your electric fence.

It must be installed wherever the tape is interrupted, for example:

• At each tape end: ensures firm attachment and proper tension, preventing the tape from fluttering in the wind, which can eventually damage the plastic and stainless-steel conductors.

• At gates: install one tensioner on each side of the gate for every tape height, so the entire fence remains tight when the gate is opened.

• At corners: we recommend fitting a 36V tensioner at any corner more than 100 m from another tensioner, as it allows you to tighten the tape more easily than with a simple corner insulator (45V).

Improved Conductivity

The stainless steel loop on the 36V Tensioner reconnects all the tape’s conductors, improving electrical efficiency.
It also serves as the fixing point for the 59T power cable connector.

Mounting Options

The 36V Tensioner can be fitted to various post types:

• Wooden posts: supplied with 2 stainless steel screws – Ref. 36V

• Metal posts: supplied with 2 bolts, nuts, and 2 cable ties – Ref. 36C

• T-posts (iron): to be mounted with 2 Pop rivets (not included), 2 bolts, and nuts – Ref. 36B

Ensure that posts are sturdy enough to withstand the full tape tension, as most of the strain occurs at fence ends, gates, and corners.
